BOX LEAGUES

Please register your interest to join the box leagues by sending an email to ussu.tennis@surrey.ac.uk and at the beginning of term you will be assigned to a box.

RULES

All box league matches need to be best of 3 full sets to 6, tie-break to 7 at 6 games all. Once you have completed the match, BOTH players need to send the score in to us via email within 24 hours of the match, to ussu.tennis.ac.uk, with the email subject being 'Box League: Division ...', and the email containing the name of the player who won and the score.

e.g. Emma Knowles beat Laura Robson, 7-5, 6-3.

Scores in tie breaks also need to be recorded as follows:

If Emma won the first set tie-break 7-2, it would be 'Emma Knowles beat Laura Robson, 7-6 (2) 6-3)'.

If the match goes to 3 sets, with Laura Robson winning the first set and then Emma Knowles winning the final 2 sets, it would be written as:

'Emma Knowles beat Laura Robson 2-6 6-3 6-4'

If a player pulls out half way through due to injury, and therefore conceeds the match, please also let us know as this still counts towards your rating:

'Emma Knowles beat Laura Robson, 5-2, W/O (walkover)).

All players will need to provide their own tennis balls.
